This two-week study abroad program explores the world’s highest-ranked education systems to discover best practices, new approaches, and learn from the world’s top-ranked educators.
We will also critically examine the colonial influences on education systems in Hong Kong and Macau. Participants will explore the historical relationships between these regions and the British, Portuguese, and Chinese governments, focusing on how these dynamics have shaped their high-achieving education systems.
By collaborating with university partners, participants will gain deeper insights into local schooling practices and observe world-renowned methods in action through school visits.
The itinerary includes time in Hong Kong and Macau, where you will visit prominent educational institutions, engage with the local education community, and study the postcolonial context of the region.
The program provides an opportunity to study how historical and cultural factors influence modern educational practices.
