Why to Go 🌟
In this program, you’ll immerse yourself in the Rhône-Alpes region of France, with options to live in the French countryside, the French Alps, or the city of Lyon.
Over a 5-week placement, you’ll gain hands-on teaching experience in a French public school, focusing on Math in English and English as a second language within a bilingual or dual language setting.
You’ll delve into content-based instruction, explore the French education system and curriculum, and gain practical insights through teaching in elementary schools, with some opportunities in middle schools. Beyond the classroom, you’ll have time to travel and explore the region, enriching your understanding of French culture and society.
The program also emphasizes developing independence, professional skills, and reflection on the American education context and your university studies.

Excursions
There will be a weekend excursion to the south of France, where we will visit Provence and the Côte d’Azur for a long weekend by the Mediterranean Sea, allowing us to learn about the region and reflect on you experience.
